Sport Extreme, at Via Prestefan 14 in Livigno, is a mountain sports shop open since 1993. It's organised by sport: five for winter (alpine skiing, ski touring, snowboarding, ice climbing and snowshoeing) and four for summer (hiking and trekking, running, climbing, and leisure and travel). It's open every day and sits in Livigno's duty-free zone, where no VAT is charged.

Winter
Winter covers five sports: alpine skiing, with piste, freestyle and freeride; ski touring; snowboarding, with freestyle and freeride, splitboards included; ice climbing; and snowshoeing. Each sport has its gear and clothing, from helmet to boots. The shop also has a Ski Service workshop with Wintersteiger machines, and rental can be booked online.

What does Sport Extreme sell in Livigno?
Sport Extreme sells gear and clothing for nine mountain sports. In winter: alpine skiing, ski touring, snowboarding, ice climbing and snowshoeing; in summer: hiking and trekking, trail and road running, climbing, and a leisure and travel range with casual clothing, bags and shoes. The shop also has a Ski Service workshop, and winter rental can be booked online.
Why is the shop organised by sport?
Because people who do a sport look for their whole kit in one place: a freerider wants to see skis, boots, a pack with transceiver, shovel and probe, jacket and helmet together. Each page shows the pieces for that sport, what matters in each one and the brands in store. Sports with several sides, such as alpine skiing, snowboarding and running, have a tab for each.

Do you pay VAT in Livigno?
No, there is no VAT in Livigno, because the town is a duty-free zone. When you leave Livigno, per-person customs allowances apply: you'll find the current rules on our Tax free page, and we'll explain everything in store. Rules can change, so check them before you travel.
